A piece of driftwood can be found at the south-eastern end of the Mushroom Forest beach, located on Fossil Island. The driftwood has a tuft of herbiboar fur next to it, and is one of the starting points of hunting herbiboars. It can be inspected to find footprints leading to another clue. Eventually the footprints will lead the player to a tunnel, which they can kick to cause a stunned herbiboar to appear outside.
Players can also use the driftwood to check their total amount of herbiboars harvested, as well as toggle a warning when attempting to track a new herbiboar before the current one has been harvested.
