Thick vines are obstacles found in the Tar Swamp that have to be chopped with an axe in order to proceed trough the swamp. Doing so grants 2 woodcutting experience. It is possible to cut the vines with an axe for which players do not have the woodcutting level required to use it, by manually using the axe on the vines.
