Optimal quest guide/Free-to-play

As few free-to-play quests have skill requirements, quests in this guide can mostly be grouped together by region.

This list does not recommend specific combat level requirements, and experienced players should be able to do all quests except for Dragon Slayer I without training skills in between doing the quests. This requires knowledge of how to safe spot Count Draynor, however, so inexperienced players may wish to train combat stats before taking on this quest.

After completing all quests except for Dragon Slayer I, it is recommended that players focus on other gameplay, since this final free-to-play quest requires significantly higher stats than any other available quest. See the quest guide for an indication of this quest's difficulty.

Some items are recommended to be bought on the Grand Exchange found in northern Varrock where possible. For some items, gathering the materials yourself will be more time consuming or require levels you may not have. Alternative methods of obtaining these items may be given throughout the guide. Completing the Stronghold of Security in nearby Barbarian Village will reward you with 10,000, enough money to cover the items listed below. Note that this is not a definitive list of the items required to complete all quests, but highlights some of the more difficult to acquire items.

The Bring from bank column only lists items that are required until the next time banking. Items obtained while following this part of the guide, or items obtainable during the quest (such as shears during Sheep Shearer) will not be listed.

For the sake of simplicity this guide will not offer advice on multi-questing, but keep in mind that for some quests you may look to save time by completing some steps in sync where you are required to visit the same locations.
