Archaic emblems can be obtained from monster drops on permanent and temporary Deadman Mode worlds. They can be redeemed for store credit at the Bounty Hunter Shop by trading them in at the Emblem Trader.

Only two tiers of archaic emblem can be obtained: tier 1 and tier 5 emblems. While on a Deadman world, players that participate in Wilderness Slayer have a chance of receiving a tier 1 emblem as an uncommon drop from the monsters they are assigned to kill, whereas a tier 5 emblem may be received from any NPC with a combat level of 100 or higher at a rate of 1/300. Tier 5 emblems are also guaranteed from breach monsters if you are eligible for loot and have also dealt 250 or more damage, and a tier 5 emblem always drops from the Deadman's chest version of Zemouregal.

During the Deadman: Annihilation game mode, tier 1 and tier 5 archaic emblems may be exchanged at the Emblem Trader for 100,000 and 1,500,000 archaic points respectively. They can also be used on the Deadman's skull to exchange them for points without needing to go to the Emblem Trader. On the permanent Deadman server, the emblems are worth 50,000 and 750,000 points.

Historical

Introduction history

Archaic emblems were introduced to replace the mysterious emblems that had been converted in favour of a new points system for Bounty Hunter. Only mysterious emblems that existed prior to 17 October 2019 were converted to archaic emblems, clearing the way for a new type of mysterious emblems introduced in the same update.

Players who had archaic emblems of any tier could give them to the Emblem Trader in exchange for old Bounty Hunter points, which could be used to purchase items from the Bounty Hunter Shop using the old points. The old Bounty Hunter Store, which uses the old points system, remained open for a couple of months after the full Bounty Hunter rework release to allow players ample time to cash in their archaic emblems and spend any remaining points.

Whereas the old archaic emblems could be upgraded to a higher tier through participation in the Bounty Hunter activity, this is no longer the case for archaic emblems received in Deadman Mode.
