Volatile Baboons are a monster encountered in the Path of Apmeken within the Tombs of Amascut.

Rather than attacking players, they will attempt to follow them. Upon reaching melee distance, the baboon will detonate, dealing massive damage to the player if they don't step at least one tile away from it. The explosion will instantly kill any baboons next to it regardless of their health.

When a volatile baboon spawns, it will randomly select a player in the raid party to pursue; its choice is not influenced by the distance to a particular target, nor any other attribute of a player.^[1]
