The adamant defender is a defender made out of adamant. It can be obtained by killing cyclopes on the top floor of the Warriors' Guild with a mithril defender in the inventory or after you have shown a mithril defender to Kamfreena. It is held in the shield slot and requires 30 Attack and Defence to wield.

If the player dies to a PvP death and the adamant defender is not one of the player's protected items, it will remain in the player's inventory, but will become broken, which means the item is unusable and must be repaired with 25,000 coins by using the item on Perdu.
