Maniacal monkeys are located in Kruk's Dungeon which the player visits during Monkey Madness II.

Compared to the skeletal monkeys in the Ape Atoll Dungeon, maniacal monkeys may be seen as a better choice for players wishing to train Ranged or Magic with multi-target attacks due to their extremely dense spawn and much lower defence. However, as maniacal monkeys are not undead, the effects of the salve amulet(ei) do not apply, whilst they do for the skeletal monkeys. On the other hand, maniacal monkeys have a high aggression range and come in large quantities, and also commonly drop one-dose prayer potions to replenish prayer points. These potions are dropped more frequently than used, reducing the overall cost of training here. The lower level of Kruk's Dungeon may require a light source.
