Fragment of Seren Speed-Trialist is an elite combat achievement that requires the Fragment of Seren boss fight to be completed in less than four minutes. Completion of Song of the Elves is required to attempt this achievement as the fight during the quest does not count. The fight can be attempted at the Memoriam Device in Prifddinas.

Generally, hard foods such as fish or hunter meat should be avoided as the tick delay will consume a significant amount of time while recovering from Seren's special attacks. Saradomin brews could be used, however these drain stats and are not recommended.

The key to this achievement is to maximise their Magic attack damage and bonus, as well as minimising disruption to attacking the Fragment, mainly eating. Players should also be able to quickly identify the real Fragment when she duplicates herself (being the lighter coloured shadow) as well as bringing a fast weapon, such as darts or blowpipe, to quickly dispose of the crystal whirlwinds to stop her from healing and also to resume attacking her. An accursed sceptre special attack at the beginning of each phase will reduce her defence and help speed up the kill. The Eye of Ayak is the best weapon to use due to its fast attack speed. While the Sanguinesti staff's passive heal helps reduce the amount of supplies consumed overall, it may prove detrimental to players using phoenix necklaces.

Players should also bring phoenix necklaces alongside a few divine potions or Zamorak brews, as well as Guthix rests. When the Fragment uses the high damage attack, the player can manipulate the passive effect of the phoenix necklace to heal the player and provide immunity from the high hitting attack. The consumables brought should minimise the delay between attacking the Fragment.

Melee with a multi-hitting weapon (such as the Scythe of Vitur), alongside a defence-draining special attack weapon, is a reliable strategy to complete this task. This is because the Fragment of Seren's damage cap of 24 applies for each hitsplat rather than overall hits, allowing players to deal more than 24 damage if using multi-hit weapons. Since she is not immune to burn, the burning claws are also a good option for special attacks. Do note that, other than the Scythe and your special attack weapons, no melee weapon comes close to the required dps compared to using a modest magic setup and a trident of the seas. This is partly because she is out of melee range during her 4th special attack.

Pre-pot an anglerfish and a dose of super combat potion prior to attempting the fight, then attempt to drain her defence. Note that while her defence cannot be lowered below 60, defence drains apply prior to the damage cap. As such, a hit of 42 from a Bandos godsword will reduce her defence to the lowest possible even if the player appears to hit 22-24. This allows the usage of another special attacking weapon (such as a dragon dagger or dragon claws) to help speed up the fight.

If the defence reducing attacks don't hit, die and restart. If the special attacks do hit, attack the Fragment for the remainder of the fight, taking care to step back after each hit to avoid her multi-hit melee attack.
