Kamil is one of the guardians of the Diamonds of Azzanadra fought during Desert Treasure I. He is often considered the hardest of the four bosses, due to his use of ice spells and the freezing environment he resides in.

Kamil makes a reappearance in the Recipe for Disaster final battle as Karamel. He can also be fought again in the Nightmare Zone after the quest is complete.

Kamil is found on the Ice Path north of Trollheim. The easiest way to get there is by Trollheim Teleport, which requires 61 Magic and completion of Eadgar's Ruse). Players will have to squeeze between the gate and kill five ice trolls to get the western cave to open. After entering the cave, players must head up the Ice Path, past the ice wolves, until they reach a clearing. Kamil will appear when the player walks past the central boulder.

Kamil attacks with both magic and melee. His magic attack is weak but accurate, encasing the player in ice for a short time and preventing eating or teleporting. His melee attack is much stronger, so it is advised to use Protect from Melee, and wear armour that defends well against Magic while fighting him. Players should also bring good food to heal from the repeated magic damage, as well as super restores to counter the freezing environment and restore Prayer.

If Kamil is not in melee range, he will use his magic attack very often, effectively keeping the player stunned for the majority of the fight. Therefore, players with Protect from Melee should stay in melee range while fighting him, regardless of which attack style they are using.

Kamil is weak to fire spells, but is immune to all other magic damage and effects, including Iban Blast, powered staves, Flames of Zamorak, bind, snare, and entangle. Players using magic are advised to use a fire spell that is well below their current Magic level, as otherwise, they will constantly need to drink restore potions to keep casting. Players who have completed Family Crest will find the chaos gauntlets useful here, as the gauntlets raise the max hit of Fire Bolt to 16.

Ranged is also effective against Kamil. Additionally, Kamil is also considered an ice warrior in regards to Slayer tasks; if the player has ice warriors as their current task, a Black mask (i) or equivalent would provide a damage bonus against him, making melee more viable.
