The hill giant club is a two-handed melee weapon requiring 40 Attack to equip. It is currently the best-in-slot weapon for crush bonuses in free-to-play, possessing very similar stats to a rune 2h sword but with the slash and crush bonuses swapped, though the rune 2h sword has a slightly higher slash bonus than the crush bonus of the club.
It can be obtained by opening the chest in Obor's lair, which requires first killing Obor then using a giant key. Keys can be obtained from Obor, the chest itself, or hill giants, of which the ones in the Wilderness have the highest chance to drop a key.
This weapon is commonly used in free-to-play PvP activities as a knockout weapon, especially during the so-called risk fights, as well as safe activities such as Clan Wars and Castle Wars. It is notable for being more accurate against opponents in full rune armour than the rune 2h sword. It can be used as a slash weapon for cutting spider webs.
