The fancy dress box space is a hotspot in the costume room of a player-owned house that is only visible to the player when in building mode. Flatpacked versions of the furniture can be used to upgrade this space instead of raw materials.

10 September 2020 (Update)	The item's name in the built interface was changed from "Mahogany cos box" to "Mahogany costume box".
2 September 2020 (Update \| poll)	Fancy dress boxes can store partially completed sets.
23 July 2020 (Update)	Furniture inside the costume room now follow an upgrading build pattern, similar to furniture found in the workshop. The toy box excluded from this change.
19 September 2019 (Update)	Mudskipper hats and flippers can now be stored in the magic wardrobe, and the stale baguette in the fancy dress box.
