Getting to Ynysdail
First-time access
The first time traveling to Ynysdail, you must sail there manually. This requires:
- 73 Sailing
- Your boat must be equipped with an Adamant keel or better
Rowboat
With 70 Construction, players can build a rowboat on Ynysdail. This requires the following materials:
- 1 Hammer
- 1 Saw
- 10 Swamp paste
- 8 Camphor plank
After building the rowboat, players can travel freely between Ynysdail and Gwenith.
Strategy
Aquanites can be killed normally; however, to receive them as a Slayer task, players must first unlock them for 80 Slayer reward points. They may be assigned by Nieve, Duradel, and Mortimer. Aquanites are found in a single-way combat area, and a Dwarf multicannon cannot be used as the ground is too damp to place one.
Aquanites attack with Magic and have high accuracy, so using Protect from Magic is highly recommended.
When killing Aquanites with melee, slash attacks have a special effect: if an Aquanite is hit with a slash attack, its lure will be severed and its stab Defence will be reduced by 50 (from 60 to 10). This significantly improves the accuracy of subsequent stab attacks and is especially useful for players with lower Attack levels.
Because dealing damage is not required to sever the lure, a fast 4-tick slash weapon such as a Scimitar or Abyssal whip is recommended. The Saradomin godsword Special attack provides an efficient option to sever the lure while also restoring Prayer points.
Equipment
This is the recommended equipment when using the slash special effect to lower the Aquanite's stab Defence.

The Saradomin godsword or Dragon claws special attack can be used to sever the Aquanite's lure. The Voidwaker's special attack does not sever the lure due to being a Magic-based attack, but it still deals high damage. The Voidwaker can still sever the lure with its regular slash attack, saving an inventory slot by not requiring a second slash weapon.
An Abyssal whip or Scimitar is recommended when you do not have enough special attack energy to use the Saradomin godsword or Dragon claws.
Seed box may be useful, as Aquanites drop a variety of seeds.
Rune pouch or Divine rune pouch is recommended, along with the required Runes to cast High Level Alchemy.
