The Kandarin headgear 2 is a reward from completing the medium Kandarin Diary tasks given by The 'Wedge' outside of Camelot castle, and can be retrieved from him for free if lost. Its stats are similar to that of a steel med helm, except for a -1 Ranged attack bonus and a significantly lower weight. The headgear does not need to be worn in order to gain more marks of grace, gain more experience from maple trees, or exchange flax.
