Funeral Pyres are used during the Shades of Mort'ton quest and minigame to burn shade remains and obtain shade keys.

To use the pyres, you must first use pyre logs on the pyre, with the type of log depending on the type of shade (see below). Next, you use the shade remains on the pyre, and then light the pyre with a tinderbox. This will burn the remains and cause a reward (either coins or a shade key) to appear on the nearby stone stand. If you do not light the pyre, the remains will despawn after a brief period.

The type of pyre logs that have to be used depends on the type of shade remains you want to burn:

Burning of shade remains on a Funeral Pyre.
