Floating Columns are objects that rise from the water during the fight with The Whisperer. Eight of these will emerge from the water when she initiates her scream attack.

In normal mode, the columns will spawn with 20, 40 or 60 health, with one guaranteed for the 40 and 60 health columns. The 40 health columns have a cap of three.

By entering the Shadow Realm with the blackstone fragment, the player will be able to find the column's health. Outside of the Shadow Realm, the health and true appearance are not visible.

The Whisperer will screech three times in total, launching a projectile at the column the player was hiding behind. This will automatically destroy it regardless of its health, while all other columns take 20 damage.

In awakened mode, the screech is extended to five times in total, and this will result in one column spawning with 80 and 100 health respectively in the set of eight columns.
