Fire Strike is a fire-based strike spell in the standard spellbook, available at level 13 Magic. As an offensive combat spell it can only be cast on attackable NPCs, or other players in a PvP situation.

Fire Strike has a base maximum hit of 8. As with all combat spells, this maximum hit is increased based on the player's magic damage bonus.

As a fire-based spell, Fire Strike's maximum hit is also increased against targets that are weak to fire.

• As a strike spell, Fire Strike is one of the only spells that can be used to damage Salarin the twisted. When used this way, its damage is scaled up to match that of Fire Bolt.

• Prior to an update on May 29, 2024, Fire Strike had the highest base maximum hit out of all the strike spells. For this reason, it was commonly used by low-level players to defeat enemies and quest bosses with a much higher combat level, such as the Khazard warlord in the Tree Gnome Village quest. After the update, all of the strike spells have a base maximum hit equal to the strongest strike spell that the player has unlocked, making Wind Strike a cheaper but equally effective alternative (unless the player is fighting a monster that is specifically weak to fire spells).
