Spines are a thrown weapon obtained during The Blood Moon Rises whilst attempting to escape from Lowerniel Drakan through the Sotfa Forest, where fifty can be found on the ground upon arriving at the nylocas nest.

The spines are mainly used to attack Nylocas Toxobolos, allowing players to kill them without having to leave Vampyrium. Should additional spines be needed, the nearby dead venator can be harvested for fifty spines.

Despite the spine's high ranged strength, there is no reason to collect more than needed, as they will disappear as soon as players leave the area.
