The spikey chain is an Agility shortcut found in multiple locations in the Slayer Tower. The spikey chain has a medium and advanced difficulty, requiring an Agility level of 61 and 71 respectively, both yielding 3 Agility experience when successfully climbed.
The medium chain connects the crawling hand area to the aberrant spectre area located on the 1st floor of the tower. The advanced chain connects the infernal mage area on the tower's 1st floor to the nechryael area located on the 2nd floor of the tower.
There is a chance of failing the shortcuts, resulting in the player gaining 6 Agility experience and taking 2-5 damage, however the player will still climb to the different level.
A nose peg or Slayer helmet is advised when climbing the medium chain due to the aberrant spectres upstairs.
Climbing the advanced spikey chain is a task in the hard Morytania Achievement Diary.

Trivia
