The loose railing is an Agility shortcut in Taverley Dungeon that allows the player to access the deeper sections of the dungeon more quickly. It requires 63 Agility to pass it. Players who wish to access the Water Obelisk, Fire Obelisk, lava eels for Heroes' Quest and Kharid scorpion for the Scorpion Catcher quest would still need to carry a dusty key on them.
There are also certain monsters in the dungeon that would require a dusty key to access them, assuming only this shortcut is used:
- Blue dragons and baby blue dragons (if not on Slayer task)
- Black demons
- Black dragons (if not on Slayer task)
- Hellhounds and Cerberus
- Poison spiders
