Adam the Ironman tutor is found in Lumbridge, and is marked by the map icon on the minimap. Adam serves to help Ironman Mode players on the mainland, but the gamemode must first be selected with Paul the Ironman Tutor before leaving Tutorial Island if the player wants to be an Ironman.

Adam can provide players with Ironman armour, hardcore ironman armour, and ultimate ironman armour depending on which, if any, status they had set their account to on Tutorial Island.

Adam can also downgrade a player's Ironman status, such as changing from an Ultimate Ironman to a standard Ironman. This requires a skill total level of 1,000 to set, and a warning will appear upon login to remind players should they wish to reverse the process.

Ironman tutor is the solution to the medium cipher clue: HQNM LZM STSNQ. He will present the player a challenge scroll asking, "How many snakeskins are needed in order to craft 44 boots, 29 vambraces and 34 bandanas?", the answer to which is 666.

• Adam is a reference to the Old School RuneScape content creators Faux and B0aty, who are known for their Ironman video content.^[1]
• Using a jar of souls on Adam will initiate a dialogue in which he will claim that he has been looking for souls, and takes one out of the jar. This is likely a reference to the South Park episode "Ginger Kids", in which Cartman claims that people with ginger hair do not have souls; both Adam and B0aty have ginger hair.
• During the medium clue scroll step, the combination of Adam stating he dislikes snakes and snakeskins adding up to 666 seems to be a reference to Satan and Adam from the Bible.
