A hole can be found just north of Trollheim, and is the entrance to the God Wars Dungeon. Before entering the hole for the first time, players must talk to Sir Gerry, who is found nearby, and tie a rope to it. Subsequent uses of the hole do not require additional rope as the hole stays roped.
