Guthix balance potions are modified restore potions used against frozen Vampyre Juveniles and Juvinates. After freezing the vampyre with the rod of ivandis, Ivandis flail, or blisterwood flail and using a dose of the potion on them, one of three outcomes may happen: the vampyre will either be destroyed (16% chance), become feral (16% chance), or be returned to human form (68% chance).^[1] The player cannot drink the potion; it is used exclusively against vampyre juveniles and juvinates.

To make this potion, add garlic to a restore potion (made from harralander and red spiders' eggs) to make the unfinished potion. Then add some silver dust (made by using a silver bar on the grinder at the Ectofuntus) to complete the potion. This costs 794 coins if buying the 4 dose restore potion, garlic, and silver dust. The potion cannot be made until the player defeats Gadderanks in In Aid of the Myreque and talks to him to learn how to create the potion.

Rather than a "Make-x" menu like most potions, Guthix balance can be made as fast as the player can click. Despite the low XP per potion, one can gain upwards of 125,000 Herblore experience per hour with moderate focus and a good stockpile of materials.

It is a medium task in the Morytania Diary to make a Guthix balance potion while in Morytania.
