Ground bat bones is an item used in the Watchtower quest and in the Herblore skill. They are made by using a pestle and mortar on bat bones. Provided that the player has level 14 Herblore, when combined with a Guam potion (unf) it will explode (dealing 5 damage), and will leave the empty vial only. Should the player have their hitpoints less than 8, it will not kill them and will deal less than 5 damage. Additionally, when the item is combined with a vial of water, the water will evaporate followed by a dialogue box with the player saying, "Oh dear, the mixture has evaporated." This also leaves an empty vial. The item can be created before, during, and after the quest; however, it serves no purpose outside of the quest.
