Crystal is a quest item that appears in the Watchtower quest. As the quest opens, ogres have stolen the four crystals needed to power the watchtower and protect Yanille from invasion by the ogres. There are four crystals, each a different colour, and the player must retrieve them by performing various tasks around Gu'Tanoth.

• Yellow Crystal - obtained from Grew in return for Gorad's tooth.
• Magenta Crystal - obtained by completing the dialogue with the Mad skavid after learning bits of the Skavid language.
• Cyan Crystal - obtained from the last Ogre Shaman killed in the Ogre Enclave. (If lost, it is reobtained by picking-up and searching the shaman robe found within the enclave.)
• Grey Crystal - found by mining the Rock of Dalgroth, within the centre of the Ogre Enclave. (Requires all Ogre Shaman to be dead.)
