A Bearhead is a piece of low level headgear that is obtained after killing The Kendal during the Mountain Daughter quest.

This piece of headgear has surprisingly high defensive bonuses given that it has no requirements to equip. It is popular amongst one-defence pures due to its defensive bonuses being comparable to a black full helm and among Abyss runecrafters due to its low weight. Its Magic defence is competitive with many other helmets with higher requirements.

If lost before completing Mountain Daughter, another can be obtained in the Kendal's Lair. If the quest is completed, it can also be reclaimed by speaking to Hamal the Chieftain. Players can also reclaim it from Perdu for 10,000 should they lose it.

• The bearhead does not resemble the Kendal's suit that it is retrieved from. It was not graphically updated when the Kendal was and thus resembles the original version of the Kendal.
• Prior to an update in March of 2018, if the player lost the bearhead without completing the Mountain Daughter quest, they would have to complete the quest to obtain another one. This was noteworthy as the quest rewarded 2,000 Prayer and 1,000 Attack experience, which are two skills that most pure account variants, the most notable users of the bearhead, wanted to avoid.
• The bearhead can be shown to Gordon, on the Getting Ahead quest, but he refuses it as he states that it's not a real head.
