Archers are level 42 guards for Burthorpe Castle in Burthorpe. They can be found positioned on the top of the castle towers as well as in front of the entrance to the castle.

They are not aggressive to players, but when attacked, will defend themselves with Ranged attacks that are fairly accurate and can hit up to 6. They are rarely trained on by mid-level players looking for their green d'hide chaps drop.

Most of the archers cannot be talked to. The 'Talk-to' option informs the player that The archer won't talk whilst on duty. However, the archer located in the north-western tower does have dialogue thanking the player for unlocking the equipment room once they do so during the Death Plateau quest.
