The toxic blowpipe (beta) was a variant of the toxic blowpipe that was available in an unrestricted world during the Equipment Rebalancing Beta, as a means to test its proposed stats reductions in the Equipment Rebalancing Changes blog, in which the blowpipe's Ranged Attack bonus was proposed to be reduced by 30, and its Ranged Strength reduced by 15, with the dart's bonuses being reduced to match.

Rather than requiring darts and scales to use, there were eight versions available at the supplies table in the Ferox Enclave, each corresponding to a specific type of dart. These blowpipes had unlimited ammunition and charges, but did not have a special attack.
