In preparation for the Wilderness boss rework, players were able to log in to an unrestricted world to test various rewards to be polled for the bosses, as well as testing poison dynamite, which was added in order to accommodate specific types of players (such as skillers) that played through various content through the use of a bug that was allowed players to kill NPCs without gaining XP.

As is usual for such betas, players were given complete access to the game world (including the Inferno), and nearly all high-end equipment and supplies available in its usual location in Clan Wars, with the typical accommodations for convenience, such as a fully furnished player-owned house and ability to skip Slayer tasks for free.
