Hot On The Trail is a skilling-type fragment that provides clues based on the logs burned when Firemaking in the Shattered Relics League that may be obtained from breaking an unidentified skilling fragment.
This fragment counts towards the Chain Magic and Fast Metabolism set effects.
Different logs will only give a certain tier of scroll box, such as medium from maple logs, and hard clues from yew logs. Logs burned with Slash & Burn are able to trigger this effect. Coloured logs will give clues of the matching coloured scroll box. Burning pyre logs in the Mort'ton minigame will also trigger the effect.
The type of log burnt determines the tier of clue scroll given. Logs and their clue types are as follows:
