Circular hides are dropped from the dagannoth found on Waterbirth Island. The hides are dropped by the level 88 ranged variants, found in the Waterbirth Dungeon.

Players may use the hides to create a spined helm by bringing one circular hide, one dagannoth hides, and 5,000 to Sigli the Huntsman in Rellekka. Creating the helm requires completion of The Fremennik Trials.

It can also be exchanged with Askeladden on Waterbirth Island for cooked tuna before The Fremennik Trials or cooked lobster after the quest.

• If you look closely at the icon of the circular hide, you will notice some shadows. These seem to be a dagannoth's spikes on its back, which means that most hides dropped from dagannoth tend to be from its back.
