The Battle of the Salve was the final battle of the Misthalin - Morytania War. During the battle, the forces of Misthalin were finally able to push back Lowerniel Drakan's vampyres to beyond the River Salve. [1]
The Seven Priestly Warriors led the Misthalin armies against the forces of Lowerniel Drakan, culminating with a battle at the River Salve.[2] The savants of the Temple Knights had developed a blood ritual that would prevent vampyres from being able to cross the River Salve.[3] In this final battle, the Seven Priestly Warriors performed the ritual around a well at the source of the river, but were attacked by vampyres. Although the ritual was completed, all but one of the warriors, Ivandis Seergaze, died in the battle.[4]
The temple of Paterdomus was erected at the site in honour of the Seven Priestly Warriors and they were entombed there, with the exception of Ivandis Seergaze.[5]
