The Battle of Uzer was a conflict that occurred prior to the year 3669 of the Third Age.^[1] The battle was fought primarily between the forces of the desert city of Uzer and the military of the Zamorakian elder demon Thammaron.

At one point, Uzer had formed an alliance with Saradomin, who granted the city military protection, which included mages and warriors.^[2] To bypass its defences and attack the city, the elder demon Thammaron opened a portal from its dimension to Uzer.^[3] The city was sieged and, eventually, Uzer's army was wiped out.

With no army and Saradomin's forces diminishing, the whole city's industry was transformed to the manufacture of golems. A golem army was created to fight Thammaron.^[4][5] Many golems were lost, but the golem army managed to gravely wound him and drive him back through the portal. The portal was sealed and Thammaron died shortly after.^[6]

Towards the end of the God Wars, around year 3669, Uzer was razed.^[7] Only one golem is believed to have survived.

With the exception of a single clay golem, virtually all of Uzer's settlers either fled or were killed in the attack.

It is possible that Armadyl's forces also fought here, as noted by his symbol carved onto the temple of Uzer together with the symbols of Saradomin, Zamorak and Thammaron.^[8]

The art of the construction of golems was lost and no attempt was made to regain it, consequence in part to the modern Church of Saradomin's consideration of them as unnatural.^[9]

• Thammaron's sceptre was lost in the battle, and ended up in the hands of a warrior who later died and became a revenant.
