Fire giants can be assigned as a slayer task at level 65 combat by various Slayer masters. They are the strongest generic giants for their category and are mostly known for their rune scimitar drops.

Fire giants can be found in an array of locations, most of which allow for the use of a dwarf multicannon. The lone exception is the Catacombs of Kourend, which does not allow a cannon but is a multicombat area.

In most cases, players are recommended to kill fire giants at the Catacombs of Kourend, due to the multicombat area of the dungeon allowing for relative AFK and having access to the catacombs drop table. The Giants' Den is a second alternative, as while it is not multicombat, it allows for a cannon and the giants are the same as those in the catacombs, along with sharing its drop-table including i.e. dark totem pieces. The level 109 Fire giants should be prioritised for maximum xp as they have more HP, yet significantly lower Defence levels compared to the level 104's.

If assigned by Konar quo Maten, most assigned areas are good locations for completing a fire giant task. The main exception is Brimhaven Dungeon, where the spawns are too spread out between floors, making it inefficient. She won’t assign them in the Smoke Dungeon, but even if you go there, it’s not recommended — there are too few giants scattered around to make it worthwhile.

If killing them as part of a task from Krystilia, the only location they can be found is the Deep Wilderness Dungeon, located around level 53 Wilderness. While somewhat close to the Mage Arena, its deep location makes it a prime hotspot for player killing, and it is highly recommended that players killing giants here have completed the Wilderness Medium Diary to unlock a shortcut (requires 46 Agility) between the fire and hill giant chamber, saving significant time and avoiding shadow spiders on the way.

Players who are not assigned fire giants from Konar or Krystilia can also choose to kill Branda the Fire Queen, who is one of the two bosses making up the Royal Titans encounter. The helmet boost will work for her, but not against her counterpart, Eldric the Ice King.
