Movario's notes (volume 1) are the first half of Movario's documentation of his search for the Stone of Jas. He begins in the Wilderness, deeming it unworthy of further searching, and then moves to Morytania, the Temple of Ikov, the Digsite, and Lunar Isle, where he learns part of the stone's true name. He then proceeds to Shilo Village, Menaphos, and the Ancient Cavern, where he learns another name for the stone, the Eye of Saradomin, and discovers remnants of dragonkin architecture. Finally, he travels to the Lumbridge Swamp Caves and the Wizards' Tower, where he learns of another name for the stone, the Fist of Guthix.
The notes can be stored in and retrieved from the bookcase in a player-owned house.
Transcript
Began investigations within the Wilderness, focusing on area east of the Demonic Ruins.
Found interesting traces of a mysterious power, along with remnants left by the dragonkin.
Further exploration led to nothing. Extensive destruction of the region likely to blame.
Morytania is of great interest, but vampyres make work problematic.
Same power detected in the Wilderness also seems to be present around Darkmeyer. Like with Wilderness, strength of this power is negligible. Unlikely to lead to any notable discovery.
Will refocus elsewhere as little progress is being made (though did find an interesting coffin deep below Mort Myre).
Temple of Ikov not as abandoned as first seems. An order calling themselves the Guardians of Armadyl has a hidden hideout here. Seems they are guarding an artefact of great power. More research will be needed to confirm, but may have finally located the Staff of Armadyl.
Once again detecting a mysterious power in the area around the Temple. Many similarities to the one detected in the Wilderness and Morytania, but isn't quite the same. Odd. Staff is presumably the source. This poses more questions about the nature of this power.
Archaeological excavations taking place east of Varrock grow more interesting by the day. Information from the time of the gods could be highly beneficial.
Some relics found confirm a few long held suspicions. Will need to return in future once more is unearthed.
Once again found traces of the mysterious power encountered in the Wilderness and Morytania.
Was able to acquire Moon Clan book before being removed from their island. Book speaks of a powerful artefact:
The Basics of Magic: 'As we all know, from the tales told to us in the Secret Tongue, 'magic' was first discovered in these lands by V when he accidentally stumbled upon the Stone of J--.'
Book is needlessly vague on any further details. Could this be linked to the mysterious power? Must find out more. What is this Stone, and who or what was J--?
Heard rumour of a dark and ancient evil residing here. Hoped it might be linked to my research. Alas, just another vengeful spirit. Still, if spirit ends up getting dealt with, could be nice place for a welcome break.
Decided to make a diversion to Menaphos given the rumours of impending quarantine. Grand Library of Menaphos is one of world's largest and may have important information.
Most books about the gods focus on Tumeken and his kin. No suprise there. However, found two tomes hidden amongst them.
References to Saradomin's power within are fascinating and troubling:
Saradomin's Will: 'With the power of Saradomin's Eye he was struck down.'
Lores of Ancient Gods: 'The stranger in our midst stood forward when asked. 'Speak ye lies afore me', spoke Saradomin, 'and my Eye shall see it. In vengeance for your evil, it will shatter you like ice and your remains shall feed the earth.'
Something's off. Why do they refer to Saradomin's Eye in this way? More research needed.
Hard to find and even harder to navigate. However, caverns likely hold many secrets.
Area seems natural at first glance, but deeper inspection led to discovery of many artificial elements. Of particular note: Almost invisible arcane symbols, a curious door made of mithril, and an ancient forge unlike any encountered previously.
Work here is clearly that of the dragonkin. However, some inconsistencies when compared to other dragonkin structures. Curious.
Dragonkin ultimately not an area of focus right now. Caverns will need to be left for another day. However, strange hexagonal design of one of the arcane symbols seems familiar. Should keep an eye out for where it has come up before.
Swamps of Lumbridge are littered with sinkholes connecting to vast cave network below. Despite proximity to Lumbridge, many are unexplored.
Decided to pay a visit to these caves after hearing of strange snake with Guthixian ties inhabiting them. Snake had little interest in conversing, but was able to detect a slight trace of the mysterious power encountered elsewhere. This warrants investigation.
Also encountered unusual goblins living in the caves. They possess intellect and ingenuity that is close to flabbergasting compared to those on surface. Must explore uses for some of their curious creations when time permits.
Has been many decades since the old tower was destroyed, but Wizards' Tower library is still woefully inadequate. However, said inadequacy may have been beneficial. Found two books that most will have missed:
Birth of the Order: 'And so Saradomin unleashed the power of his Eye, the greatest of all his creations.'
Histories of Guthix: 'The mighty power of the Fist of Guthix tore the earth asunder and the shaking ground did swallow his enemies.'
Once again, reference to Saradomin's Eye, though this time more specific. Text implies the Eye was some sort of tool or weapon created by Saradomin himself.
New reference to the Eye is fascinating, but second book is even more interesting. Have seen mention of the Fist of Guthix before, but not put much thought into any deeper meaning. However, references to Saradomin's Eye raise new question: Why the focus on these single body parts? An Eye. A Fist. Coincidence, or something more?Changes
