The Black Knight Catacombs is a large dungeon found below the Black Knights' Fortress accessed during While Guthix Sleeps to find and defeat the Dark Squall. To access the Catacombs, the player must push the wall opposite the Fortress entryway and climb down the ladder ahead. Then, any Charge Orb spell must be used on the carved tile at the other end of the room, which permanently opens the trapdoor to the Catacombs. This can only be done after the quest has been started.

The Catacombs are a Multicombat area and contain many aggressive, powerful Kinshra: Elite Black Knights, Elite Dark Warriors, Elite Dark Mages, and Elite Dark Rangers that can use protection prayers based on the player's attack style. Wearing a full set of elite black armour or Dark Squall robes will prevent their aggression.

A Dwarf multicannon cannot be placed inside the catacombs.
