Lost crates or lost shipments are ocean encounters found in the water while sailing. The Pandemonium quest must be completed before crates will appear in the ocean. Opening a crate awards an item and a small amount of Sailing experience.
There are multiple tiers of crates with increasingly valuable loot. Each crate has a chance to spawn after reaching a minimum Sailing level; for example, at level 5, only wooden crates can spawn, but all tiers can spawn at level 99.
