Mysterious glow is an ocean encounter. Sailing on top of the first glow gives 8 Sailing experience and will spawn another glow nearby. Each glow sailed over will yield double the experience of the previous one. The number of potential glows and the quality of the gem increases with Sailing level and can go at least as high as 9 glows with the final glow yielding 2048 experience. Hitting all available glows drops a gem on the deck of the ship.

Once the first glow is hit, each next glow will always spawn in front of the ship, only requiring a small input to hit. The chain will end prematurely if there is no space for the next glow, still granting a gem.

• The mysterious glow appears to be based on the milky seas effect or mareel, phenomenons caused by microscopic bioluminescent organisms, which causes the sea to appear glowing.
