Chants and incantations

Chants and incantations are instances of Magic performed in-game by NPCs or the player character that utilize a "spoken" element, consisting of words or a phrase in another language.

• Abyss teleport: Veniens! Sallakar! Rinnesset! - used by the Mage of Zamorak to teleport the player to the Abyss.

• Animate rock scroll spell: Um nahi listic durooo-rah! - used by the player to animate the Slagilith during the events of One Small Favour. This spoken incantation only appears when used by the player during One Small Favour; when the spell is used to free King Arthur during the events of King's Ransom the incantation does not appear.

• Demon Slayer spell: The player utilizes a spoken incantation learned from Aris to banish Delrith during the events of the quest. While the order of the words spoken will be randomized for each player, the phrase will always consist of the words Camerinthum, Gabindo, Purchai, Carlem, and Aber. This spell does not appear as overhead dialogue and is selected by the player through a dialogue box. In Shadow of the Storm, the incantation is used in reverse to summon a demon, rather than banishing one.

• Elemental wizards' spell: Gratias tibi ago! - used by the Air, Earth, Fire, and Water wizards located south of Falador when an offensive spell of their respective element is cast on them by the player to heal themselves.

• Fire Warrior of Lesarkus's spell: Amitus! Setitii! - used by the Fire Warrior of Lesarkus to blast the player away from the door he is protecting during the Temple of Ikov quest.

• Kamil's spell: Sallamakar Ro! - used by Kamil during his encounter in Desert Treasure I while casting a spell on the player similar to Ice Barrage.

• Karamel's spell: Semolina-Go! - a spoof of Kamil's spell, used by Karamel during his encounter in the final fight of Recipe for Disaster.

• Lucien's spell: Daemonicas Abhoris - described in Movario's notes (volume 2), the incantation is apparently the one used by Lucien to create the Tormented Demons seen during and after the events of While Guthix Sleeps. Though Lucien never actually says the phrase in the presence of the player, the creation of the demons is described in Movario's notes and mentions the use of the incantation, implying that Lucien merely summoned the demons to him during the quest and that they were created beforehand.

• Malignius Mortifer's spells: Veni, cohortes malefici! and Da mihi potentiam! - one of these two incantations are used when Malignius attempts to summon a creature, with varying results.

• Merlin's Crystal spell: Snarthon Candtrick Termanto - learned by the player by examining the chaos altar located in the Zamorakian chapel in Varrock and used during the quest to control the spirit Thrantax the Mighty. This spell does not appear as overhead dialogue and is selected by the player through a dialogue box.

• Nora T. Hagg's spell: Klarata... Sepptento... Valkan! - used to teleport the player out of the garden of her home if caught by her during the Witch's House quest.

• Pyromancer's spell: Yemalo shi cardito! - used by Wintertodt Pyromancers when their brazier is lit, presumably to direct the brazier flames at the Howling Snow Storm.

• Rune essence mine teleport: Senventior Disthene Molenko! - used by Aubury, Archmage Sedridor, Wizard Distentor, Wizard Cromperty, and Brimstail to teleport the player to the Rune essence mine.

• Skotizo's spell: Gar mulno ful taglo! - used by Skotizo when summoning reanimated demon spawns.

• Surok Magis's spell: Magicus ignitus! - used by Surok when he throws out a lit explosive.

• Traiborn's apprentices: Saris! Val! Curak! Belito! - used by Cordelia, Felix, Tamara, and Persten during the Temple of the Eye quest to open a portal.

• Traiborn's Recipe for Disaster spells: Dandolino Zabrino, Skalindom Ralinaplo, Splendidum romelno - used by Wizard Traiborn during the Freeing the Lumbridge Guide portion of Recipe for Disaster to enchant the ingredients for the cake the player makes for the Lumbridge Guide. Traiborn has the player repeat each phrase back to him which the player does incorrectly, but he says "Close enough." for each one and "casts" the spell regardless of this. It is implied through the dialogue that Traiborn is making up the phrases as he goes and that they are not actually a component of enchanting the ingredients.

• Tribal Totem teleport spell: Dipsolum sententa sententi! - used by Wizard Cromperty during the events of the quest to teleport the player to a crate in Ardougne.

• Yama meteor strike: Colabi, infernus, Ven, estella infernus, and Colabesur infernus - used by Yama during the fight against him, to summon a meteor.

• Yama shadow stomp: Ven, umbra eclipta, Umbra, proriumpse, and Umbra apprerendehe - used by Yama during the fight against him, to summon a shadow attack.

• The Pyromancers' spell, "Yemalo shi cardito", is an anagram of Cymothoe radialis, a species of butterfly found in Cameroon, whose wings are known to display fiery-red and orange colours.
• The elemental wizards' spell, "Grātiās tibi agō", means "I thank you" in Latin.
• Lucien's spell, "Daemonicas Abhoris", can be translated to "Demonic Abominations" in Latin.
• Karamel's spell, "Semolina-go", includes semolina, a type of flour that can be used to make pudding, among other dishes.
• Malignius's spells are Latin phrases: "Veni cohortes malefici!" can be translated to "Come, evil cohorts!" and the phrase "Da mihi potentiam!" can be translated to "Give me power!".
  • "Veni cohortes malefici" contains a grammatical mistake. Since "cohortes malefici" is plural, the verb should take the plural form venite.
