The Yt-MejKot (pronounced yit-mej-kot) is a monster found in the TzHaar Fight Cave, first appearing on wave 15. It's a very tall, lizard-like humanoid and attacks with a powerful melee slash attack, capable of dealing up to 25 damage.

The Yt-MejKot also possesses the ability to restore up to 10 hitpoints to itself or any adjacent monster who's health has dropped below half. This healing mechanic is tied into its melee attack, as it can only heal when it's standing on a tile adjacent the player, and only after 4 game ticks. have passed since its last attack. Healing replaces an attack, and once it does so, the lizard cannot attack again for another 4 ticks.

Because of their large size, Yt-MejKots are easily blocked by other monsters or the cave's rocky walls. Therefore, it's recommended to range them from a safespot to easily defeat them. Yt-MejKots are also useful for healing if the player is using Guthan’s equipment, as their frequent healing increases the player's chances of triggering the Guthan’s set life-stealing effect.

    • "Mej" means priest or mage. In this case, it's probably a priest, as the examine text is "holy reptile...".
    • "Kot" means save or protect. Yt-MejKot heal themselves and other nearby Fight Caves creatures, protecting and saving them.
  • They seem to heal themselves every two attacks they use, but this only occurs when standing within melee distance.
