Ogre (race)

Ogres are a race found throughout Gielinor. They are known for their brute strength and considered to be dim. During the God Wars, ogres were followers of Bandos.

Different areas have their own ogre tribes. Common ogres are widespread in the city of Gu'Tanoth. Related species, such as mogres and jogres, are well adapted to their environment.

Types

Ogres and Ogresses

Ogres are situated outside of Yanille, Jiggig, and in Feldip Hills. They are led by ogre chieftains (Toban, to name one), with the "head" chieftain appearing to be Skrach Uglogwee, known to the ogres as Bone Cruncher. Besides melee, some ogres have taken to archery, like Rantz, to hunt jubbly and chompy birds, an ogre delicacy. Some ogres, known as ogre shamans, are capable of using magic, and can use it to make themselves invulnerable, or tamper with and erase the memories of others. Some ogres seem to prefer to inhabit dungeons, and some have been imprisoned at the Combat Training Camp for use as target practice by the Ardougne military.

Female ogres, known as ogresses, appear to live completely separate from their male ogre counterparts. Led by their leader Chief Tess, they live in the dungeon beneath Corsair Cove, but are thinking of expanding their settlement to the surface.

Mogres

Mogres live in the waters around Mudskipper Point and in the Mogre Camp beneath Port Khazard. They are grey-skinned and wear mudskipper hats and flippers. Mogres are hunters of fish (mudskippers) and crab. Once in a while, they aggressively emerge due to fishing explosives being thrown at their hunting spots. Some mogres can be found patrolling the surface of the waters, attacking any nearby boats.

Jogres

Jogres are located in the Karamja jungle. Not much is known about them, but their green skin may help them blend into their surroundings. Interestingly, there are jogres in the God Wars Dungeon, showing that their kind (like regular ogres) has some loyalty to Bandos. One jogre is on display at the Ardougne Zoo.

Undead Ogres

Undead ogres, known as zogres and skogres, have plagued Jiggig because of a necromantic curse (uncovered by an adventurer during Zogre Flesh Eaters). The ogres outside have barricaded them in as they try to fend them off. They can transfer a disease that can only be cured using Relicym's balm. Zogres fought for Zamorak during the God Wars.
