Mokhaiotl Drift is a master combat achievement which requires defeating the Doom of Mokhaiotl at delve level 8+ before it finishes its first burrow phase.
Strategy
At delve 8, Doom will initiate the shield phase upon reaching around ~500 or so hitpoints. However, it is possible to bring Doom below the 75% health threshold through luck, such as a prayer rock when Doom is near the phase threshold; the player can deal a minimum of 48 damage with a scythe of vitur punish and also have enough time to attack once with their other weapon before Doom initiates shield phase.
Although slow, players can deal extra damage to Doom during shield phase by delaying it as long as possible, making sure to hit Doom with a weak demonbane to prevent the charge attack from going off and killing larvae before they reach the boss. This is capped at 50 damage.
During the burrow phase, dumping a zaryte crossbow special as soon as it starts will deal around ~100 or so damage, or several dragon knives if Doom's health was low enough at the start of the phase. The player will have three charges before Doom surfaces. If the player lures Doom to a corner and then moves to another, players can squeeze in an additional attack during these transitions.
Delaying going past 75% hp until the volatile earth spawn can allow extra attacks before the boss begins the shield phase, as he cannot enter shield phase during this attack.
The achievement will be counted towards if Doom is defeated just as it surfaces, though the time gap is incredibly tight since it is a few ticks from surfacing and ending the burrow phase.

Trivia
- The name of this achievement is likely a reference to the 2006 movie The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, due to the burrow phase being commonly referred to by players as the "car phase."
