It's Dark Down Here is a grandmaster combat achievement which requires defeating the Doom of Mokhaiotl at delve level 16.
Strategy
Doom after delve 8 will have 625 hitpoints (same as delve 5/6) while retaining the difficulty of delve 8. Because of the lower Hitpoints and having three zooms instead of two, players with high-end gear may find themselves defeating Doom before the earthen shield attack has a chance to be used. It is important to use the Rockblock technique in order to make the most use of falling rocks, as they start to become less frequent.
Use saradomin brews as the main source of healing and bring enough super restores to be able to reach delve 16. Anti-venom+ is highly recommended. Use a single-hit weapon such as a noxious halberd for melee punishes, as multi-hit weapons will rag a significant amount of tiles.
Players who can minimise acid splatters should not have much difficulty when descending deep down, but the chances of this is very unlikely since each delve splatters in a random cardinal direction. If many acid splatters are present, avoid damaging Doom outside of charges and allow the earthen shield to clear as many tiles as possible.
