The ironman platebody is a platebody obtainable only by players who chose to be a standard ironman in Ironman Mode. It is obtained by speaking to Adam after leaving Tutorial Island, after choosing to be a standard ironman. Fittingly, it has equivalent stats to an iron platebody, which is the best melee armour a starting player can use.
