A bag full of gems is a bag that contains an assortment of 40 noted uncut gems. These bags are obtainable from Prospector Percy's Nugget Shop for 40 golden nuggets, from Belona's Mining Guild Mineral Exchange for 20 unidentified minerals, or from Dusuri's Star Shop for 300 stardust.

The chances of an individual gem being an uncut onyx is 1/100,000,000, making the chance per bag approximately 1/2,500,000. In terms of probability, this makes it one of the rarest drops in the game.[1]

Obtaining the uncut onyx from a bag full of gems does produce an entry in the Collection Log.

The bags are exclusive to the stores they are bought from and therefore cannot be sold to another store in exchange for a different currency.

Percentages

All three variants of the bag full of gems have the same distribution of gem drops.[2]

These probabilities are based on a sample of 21,237 bags full of gems, all of which were purchased from Dusuri's Star Shop.

On average, a player can expect 8.322 Crafting experience per stardust, and 2,496.68 experience per bag if they were to cut all the gems. If a player were to process the cut gems into jewellery, the expected Crafting experience would increase to between 4,525 and 5,334 experience, depending on what jewellery is made.
