Prospector Percy is the discoverer of the Motherlode Mine and owner of Prospector Percy's Nugget Shop. Players can trade him golden nuggets for components of the prospector outfit and other items such as the coal bag and gem bag. He also sells an increase to the paydirt sack capacity, access to the upper section of the Motherlode Mine and use of the upper floor hopper. Despite his close proximity to a hammer and the water wheels, he won't fix them himself and will simply announce when they break.
Treasure Trails
Percy is the solution to the hard anagram clue: COPPER ORE CRYPTS. He will give the player a challenge scroll, the answer to which is 12.

The bag full of gems and soft clay packs are unique to this shop, meaning that the versions of these items bought elsewhere cannot be resold here.

380 nuggets are required to purchase all of the non-consumable items from the shop (180 for the prospector kit, 100 each for the coal bag and gem bag). Obtaining this many nuggets would require mining 13870 Pay-dirt on average.
From the "Boost per nugget" section, it can be seen that some pieces are more cost-efficient than others. Therefore for a player to get the most out of their nuggets, it is highly recommended they save up, and obtain each piece in the following order: 1st - jacket, 2nd - legs, 3rd - helmet, 4th - boots.
Other items
Players can talk to Prospector Percy and ask him if there are any other things they can unlock, and he will list the following options available as one-time purchases:
- For 100 nuggets, players can purchase access to the upper level of the Motherlode Mine if they have 57 Mining (not boostable).
- For 200 nuggets, players can purchase the larger sack upgrade, increasing the capacity of the sack at the end of the cleaning machine from 108 to 189.
- For 50 nuggets, players can purchase access to a special hopper on the upper level that connects to the sack at the end of the cleaning machine.

Trivia
- According to a Reddit post by former Mod Reach, this character draws inspiration from Stinky Pete, the prospector in Toy Story 2. The character's overall appearance and examine text are references to this.
- Prospector Percy appears to be wielding a Dragon pickaxe.
