Sound effect

Rebuke is an overhead prayer from the Ruinous Powers prayer book, unlocked at level 78 Prayer. It could be used by selecting the Ruinous Powers relic in Trailblazer Reloaded League or by purchasing the Ruinous powers book in Deadman: Annihilation.

Rebuke increases the amount of damage recoil effects deal (such as Vengeance) by 10%, rounded down.

The prayer was originally available to use on a beta world as part of the DT2 Rewards Beta after having passed the relevant consultation poll, where players could playtest it in various content before a second poll was brought forward to ask players whether they'd like the prayers to be implemented in the live game as a reward from completing the quest Desert Treasure II - The Fallen Empire.

21 January 2026 (Update)	The prayer's increase to recoil damage was decreased from 50% to 10% for Deadman: Annihilation.
14 June 2023 (Update)	The Prayer level required to activate the prayer has been decreased from 81 to 78. The prayer's description in-game has been changed. Previously, it was "Increases damage taken by 15%, but also reflects 15% of the damage taken back at the opponent." The prayer's drain rate has been reduced from 30 points per minute to 20.
18 April 2023 (Update)	The prayer's description in-game has been changed. Previously, it was "Increases damage taken from NPCs by 15%. Reflect 15% of damage taken by NPCs." The prayer icon was graphically updated.

Trivia

Rebuke was originally proposed to increase damage taken by 25%, but was reduced to 15% after feedback, and then further reworked to its current effect.
