Perfect Maggot King is a master combat achievement which requires the player to kill the Maggot King without taking any avoidable damage or him ever being healed.
Strategy
While normal play should be enough to dodge most attacks, players must be mindful of some extra aspects of the fight to achieve a perfect kill:
- Aim to shoot the ur-maggot larvae as soon as possible. If attacking too late, the maggot can land and heal the boss before getting hit by the player's ranged projectile, failing the achievement.
- Shooting the larvae at the first opportunity can give players a little more time to find tiles that are safe from carrion projectiles. Alternatively, players can find safe tiles to stand on first before shooting larvae.
- When preparing to perform melee punishes, be mindful of poisonous and sticky biles that may occupy tiles the player intends to use. Move east or west to a set of safe tiles before starting melee punishes.
