Cordoned Off is a master combat achievement which requires the player to kill the Maggot King without moving beyond the back row of tiles in the playable area.

This achievement is best paired with Digging in, as the strategies to complete them overlap.

As the playable area for this achievement becomes more restricted, wearing a serpentine helm alongside an inoculation bracelet will help in dealing with the poisonous and sticky biles by minimising necessary movement. Without a serpentine helmet, players should bring greater amounts of antipoison to offset the immunity drain.

During the boss' melee slams, the player is able to perform a melee punish from the back row, but must only utilise melee punishes to attack the boss, as regular attacks will force you to move forward, failing the achievement. Alternatively, players can use heavy ranged attacks during this period, due to its magic defence bonus increasing from +150 to +400 when it closes in to melee.

If using melee punishes to complete this achievement, consider taking the opportunity to complete King-sized clobbering alongside this achievement.
