The yin yang amulet is a cosmetic amulet that can be purchased from the Makeover Mage for 100 coins. The amulet is a replica of the one the Makeover Mage uses to change the gender of players.

According to the Makeover Mage, they found the amulet after killing a nest of gazulibirds,^[1] and asked Doric to make non-magical copies of the amulet as a result of player requests to obtain the amulet as an item.^[2]

• The amulet's addition to the game was alluded to on the same day in Postbag from the Hedge issue 5, where a player submitted a letter to the Makeover Mage regarding their amulet and their magical abilities.
• Yin and yang (陰陽) refers to the concept in Chinese philosophy, which describes interconnecting, opposite forces. As the Wushanko Isles are broadly based on a blend of many Asia-Pacific cultures, it is likely that the amulet originated from there.
• The Painted One wears a Yin yang amulet.
