Vorkath Speed-Runner is a grandmaster combat achievement which requires the player to kill Vorkath in less than 54 seconds.

Vorkath has 750 hitpoints, and this achievement is extremely notorious for the amount of damage needed in an exceedingly short amount of time. Avoid eating whenever possible; if absolutely necessary, use guthix rests.

Resurrection spells cannot be summoned within the Vorkath's fight arena and Vorkath is also immune to Vengeance's recoil damage.

Vorkath has an attack speed of 5, or one attack every 3.0 seconds. A special attack is queued after six auto-attacks (18 seconds), of which he will either use Ice Dragonbreath or Rapid Fire. The former is generally recommended over the latter, since the special attack is quick to clear and allows players to resume dealing full damage to Vorkath. By the time the other special attack is queued, players will have a few seconds after it starts in order to meet the time. If the latter special attack starts, the player's damage will be reduced by 50% for the next ~15 or so seconds, and the time threshold is passed before the other special attack is used.

If Vorkath has more than 50% of its health by the time the first special attack starts, it is highly recommended to reset the fight.

When using ranged, a dragon hunter crossbow is recommended, with dragon thrownaxes as a special weapon swap. While a zaryte crossbow can deal more damage due to its increased bolt proc effect and special attack, it is slightly less accurate and is not possible to Woox walk with it. Use both ruby and diamond dragon enchanted bolts, using ruby until Vorkath reaches ~300 hitpoints and swapping to diamond afterwards. It is not required to be on-task; the player will be slightly more accurate using a Salve amulet(ei) with best-in-slot compared to one with a slayer task. The advantage with ranged is that it has greater variability, especially if multiple ruby bolts proc early on.

When using melee, a Dragon hunter lance is required, since it is the most accurate of all the stabbing weapons. For maximum damage output, a voidwaker or dragon claws should be used as the special, though the latter is more likely to miss given Vorkath's higher slash defence; if the player is on pace towards the time (less than 50% health after the first special attack), drink a surge potion and use a burning claws special attack. As with ranged weapons with 7 or less range, melee players can woox walk. Being on-task with melee provides slightly better accuracy compared to best-in-slot armour with a salve amulet.

A viable alternative melee strategy uses two special attacks from the Dragon Warhammer to start the fight, the upside being that its max hit is competitive with the likes of the Voidwaker whilst crucially also reducing Vorkath's defence. Two successful hits will reduce Vorkath's defence by 51%, enabling much more consistent damage from the Dragon hunter lance. This method is likely to require a lot of resetting as the Dragon Warhammer hits very infrequently, but if you can deal ~150 damage between the two attacks, your likelihood of getting Vorkath to 50% before the first special attack drastically increases. If using this strategy, it is preferable to see the Rapid Fire special first, as you are more likely to deal enough damage to Vorkath while woox walking that you can complete the fight before seeing the Ice Dragonbreath special, and thus achieving a <54 second kill.
